Standard windows by Solar Innovations™ include:

• One of Solar Innovations™ seven standard colors.
• 1" insulated glass. Glass make up is 1/8" clear tempered over 1/8" clear tempered with a stainless steel spacer.
• Stainless steel fasteners provide durability and resist corrosion.
• Available in a variety of sizes, from a minimum of 12" x 12" to a maximum of 42" x 72" (For best long-term performance, Solar Innovations recommends no larger then 36" x 60" windows).
• A standard charcoal colored fiberglass screen.
• Awning windows and casement windows have a standard crank operator.
• Casement windows larger than 30" x 48" have egress hinges.
• Awning and casement windows may be motorized and operated by thermostats.
• Sliding windows have two operable leaves which can be removed for easy cleaning or to reveal the full one piece screen.

In addition to our standard designs, Solar Innovations™ offers "modified standard" windows. This will typically increase the cost of the standard window by approximately 15-30% or more depending on the amount of customization involved. Our modified standards allow you to order windows with shorter lead times for quotes, shop drawings, and manufacturing than completely custom units.  This will give you the opportunity to create cost effective windows with a custom touch.

This is our standard window model found in our Window Standard Configuration Guide. Rough opening is 3' 3-1/4" x 3' 7-5/8".

We define a "modified standard" window as one which starts as a standard size and requires minimal modifications. Our modified standards are divided into three options. (Please view the drawings and descriptions below. The green shaded area denotes the modifications.) Please make sure to note the modification option and requirements when requesting a quote. This will help our estimators prepare a more accurate quote for you.

Window Option 1 allows you to add a transom.	Window Option 2 allows you to add one or two fixed lites.	Window Option 3 is a combination of Options 1 and 2.

We recommend choosing a custom window design if the deviations from the standard are more than the options allowed in the modified standard section. Please be aware that any deviation from our standards or modified standards typically results in 30-50% or more in increased costs and longer lead times.

• Determine if you would like a fixed, awning, casement, sliding, folding, or garden window.
• Select one of Solar Innovations™ standard windows.
• Determine the location of the window(s).
• Complete our Quote Request Form. Choose either standard or modified on the form and note the modifications. Be sure to include as much information as possible; all additional details you provide help us supply you with a more accurate quote.
• Submit your quote request online or print out the form and fax or mail it to us. One of our estimators will contact you within 1-2 business days after we have received the request and reviewed it.
