Stacking Windows by Solar Innovations®
Enjoy unobstructed views
SI3000S
Stacking glass windows by Solar Innovations® are very similar to stacking walls. The main differences between the two are the dimensions. Stacking windows are of course, shorter. This window system is suitable for residential applications but is more commonly found in commercial situations. Stacking windows are often used to divide conference rooms or placed on a building’s exterior such as a restaurant or hotel. A stacking window system will slide along a track and stack at the end of the into the wall or make a turn and then stack into a remote location.

After the panels have been stacked into their destination, a clear opening is presented. The view is completely unobstructed, with no mullions or bars interrupting the sightline. There are no standard sizes that you must use; all stacking windows can will be cut to fit your opening. The overall opening, number of panels, and size of each panel will be manufactured to your dimensions.
Stacking walls have the ability to guide all panels in one direction (left or right) or send half the panels left, and the other half right. Each panel can be fitted with hardware to create an operable panel. This function allows you to pass an object through one panel without opening the entire unit, like a terrace door. There are several sill options available for various applications and performance requirements. Please visit the following link.

All stacking windows are constructed of aluminum framework which will not rot, warp, rust, or require constant finish maintenance. There are eight standard frame finishes available, as well as any custom color your job may require. Wood veneer can be added to the windows to mimic the look of a true wooden window. The glazing that goes within the frame can be any industry available glass or polycarbonate. Glass typically blends better with a building’s façade and has a longer lifespan than polycarbonate. Glass is harder and will retain fewer scratches. On the other hand polycarbonate is more economical and lighter weight which helps reduce shipping costs. Both options should be explored for each application.
Stacking walls can be fitted with gridwork, which adds a decorative touch and can help to achieve a specific style. There are various profiles available including ogee and traditional. Each grid profile can be formed into several shapes including gothic, double gothic and radius. A matching frame finish can be utilized on the grids or a separate finish can be applied to add visual contrast and interest to the space.
After the design has been finalized, Solar Innovations® or a national dealer can complete the installation of your window system. If you have an existing window system that is in some way damaged, Solar Innovations® offers window repair services. An installation team can come to your project and typically repair the unit. There are demolition services available for those projects which are beyond repair. Another installation option is “do-it-yourself stacking window kits” where customers purchase the units factory direct and complete the installation yourself.
