Sliding Windows by Solar Innovations®
Open Your World
SI8501
Solar Innovations® offers thermally enhanced sliding glass windows which can be customized to meet your specific requirements. All sizes and measurements are custom and the windows will be built to fit your openings. The windows can be used for commercial and residential applications. They work great for patios, sunrooms and box seats in stadiums. Each window can be placed on the exterior of a building where it comes into contact with wind and water, or a room’s interior where there is no exposure to the elements.
All sliding windows are constructed with durable aluminum frames which will weather very well for years to come. Rotting, warping, and constant maintenance to the finish is eliminated when you chose an aluminum window. Eight standard finishes are available to choose from, along with any custom color your specific job may require. Various wood veneer species are available for the sliding windows. Mahogany, pine, cedar, birch and fir are all options for the veneers. The choice of wood veneer can add a traditional look to any room and help the room to feel inviting.

Any glass or polycarbonate, both insulated or single pane, available to the industry and can be utilized in Solar Innovations® sliding window. Polycarbonate tends to be more economical in terms of price when compared to glass. This material is also lighter and helps to reduce shipping costs. If you are trying to achieve a modern look with your windows, polycarbonate is one of the easiest ways meet your goal. There are several different colors of polycarbonate available including blue, green, clear, opal and bronze. Regular glass comes in a variety of thicknesses as does polycarbonate. 8mm polycarbonate is comparable to single pane glass, 25mm polycarbonate is the same as insulated glass and 60mm polycarbonate is along the same lines of triple pane glass.

Sliding windows traditionally use clear glass in their windows; but there are endless tints, types, and thicknesses available. Arguably the most popular tint in windows right now is low-e. This is a type of tint which helps to minimize harmful UV rays from penetrating a space. By using a low-e glass you are protecting your furnishings and window treatments from fading. This type of glass also helps to maintain a comfortable temperature within the room. Impact glazings are available for Florida hurricane requirements.

Decorative elements can be added to the window to provide a more pristine appearance. By adding grid work the windows will have a classic traditional feel. Mullions can be added to the windows to create a modern clean line look. More than one glazing can be placed in between the mullion sections to create an artistic appearance. All sliding window hardware comes included with the window; there are several handle options available in numerous finishes.
Solar Innovations® offers sliding window replacement and sliding window repair services. If you have an existing unit installed in the building and it is broken or not sliding properly, Solar Innovations® can repair the windows. Our installation team can typically repair the unit even if it was manufactured by another company. If the existing system is beyond repair, Solar Innovations® can fabricate a new unit for you, remove the old one, and install the new system.
