Research Greenhouses can be designed with Solar Innovations® experts to create the perfect set of environments incorporating environmental control systems.
Partitions within research greenhouses allow for the creation of independently controlled environments. Working in combination with environmental control systems, computer regulated research greenhouse environments allow for properly controlled horticultural experimentation - creating validity within the environment.
Our experienced greenhouse development and design team will work with customers to create a specific controlled environment as requested within the walls of our thermally-enhanced system. This unique design allows Solar Innovations, Inc. to maintain specific greenhouse growing environments with ease. The thermal break creates a balance between external temperatures and the internal environment which must be precisely maintained for the most accurate research greenhouse environment.
By selecting Solar Innovations®, our customers are able to gain one of the most accurate research environments. The incorporation of an environmental control system allows researchers to maintain the ideal research greenhouse environment. Upon request, Solar Innovations® will incorporate any greenhouse accessory, and can even locate specialty filtration, screening, and fogging systems into the environment. By providing the design team with your environmental requests as early in the process as possible, our team will be able to create the controlled atmosphere desired.

Solar Innovations® has extensive experience in the creation of research greenhouses and has worked with Franklin and Marshall College to create environments with wide ranges in humidity, temperature, and light transmittance. This range in research greenhouse environments allows for custom applications of Solar Innovations, Inc. standard accessories.
Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, PA, commissioned Solar Innovations® to create this unique, custom-designed greenhouse. The custom engineered Mansard Style roof, popular in the Victorian Age, contributed to the greenhouse’s historical feel.
The greenhouse restoration bar design, weep system, incorporated in the project, is unique to Solar Innovations®. This greenhouse system, with integrated aluminum portals, is self-supporting over large spans and maintains the aesthetic appeal without interference.
The Franklin and Marshall College greenhouse structure incorporated many of the greenhouse accessories offered by Solar Innovations® including an environmental control system, fogging system, misting systems, grow lights, standard lighting, rolling benches, stationary benches, and tiered benches.
