Bonsai greenhouses by Solar Innovations® can be completely customized to any size, shape, color, and growing environment for specific trees. The finest materials are used to construct all Solar Innovations® products. Aluminum is used for the framework and either glass, acrylic, or polycarbonate will be used for the glazing. The benefit of using aluminum as compared to wood is the time saved in maintenance. There is no rusting, rotting, termite damage, or annual refinishing maintenance when you select an aluminum greehouse.

Glass, acrylic, and polycarbonate are comparable for use in bonsai greenhouses. Polycarbonate tends to be less expensive than glass, however it does not typically maintain its appearance as well as glass long term. A glass structure is more aesthetically pleasing than a poly greenhouse and will blend better with a home's decor. There is also more flexibility in plant growth with a glass greenhouse. Depending on the exact specimen of polycarbonate, it may restrict enough sunlight from the greenhouse to diminish growth and blooms in plants. The intensity of light with glass choices can be controlled with various types of low-e greenhouse glazing choices and shading options.
All the guess-work can be taken out of growing bonsai trees with a Solar Innovations® greenhouse. A turn-key project is available, which means that Solar Innovations® will provide not only a complete greenhouse structure, but also all the accessories needed to grow the bonsai tree. Individual zones can be created for different types of bonsai plants. For example, Solar is able to design a three zone greenhouse; one zone for miniature bonsai trees, another zone for bonsai fruit trees and tropical bonsai, and a last zone can be designed for trees that need to experience cold weather. Each zone can be fitted with its own watering systems, lighting, heating, cooling and venting. The greenhouse can also be designed to accomodate stations for washing roots, work benches, and storage for tools and fertilizers.
