According to research, a translucent glass car wash provides safety and visibility for customers, as well as an increase in night time business. Solar Innovations™ tailors glass type, roof pitch, colors, and accessories, depending on your wishes, to create a unique business opportunity for you. We offer several styles and sizes of standard glass car wash designs, which allows us to quickly turn around a quote, reduce lead times for shop drawings, and shorten delivery times.

Standard car wash enclosures by Solar Innovations™ include:

• Heavy aluminum construction - 2” x 5 ½” or 3” x 8” portal frames.
• A corrosion-resistant finish protects against the high moisture and chemical levels found in car wash environments.
• One of Solar Innovations’ seven standard colors or one of Solar Innovations four standard car wash colors.
• Stainless steel fasteners provide durability and resist corrosion.
• Clear glass and/or 25mm clear, bronze, opal heat guard polycarbonate, standing seam roof, or structural panel roofing options.
• Structures are engineered to a 40 PSF combined loading.
• Bay centers are 49” wide for straight eave and 38” or 46 ½” for curved eave structures.
• Door openings are 10’ 2” x 10”. (Rolling door option by a third party.)
• Minimum eave height of 11’ 7” and 14’ 2” ridge height.
• Available in two pitches: 15º and 30º degrees.

In addition to our standard designs, Solar Innovations™ offers modified standard car washes. This will typically increase the cost of the standard car wash by approximately 15-30% or more depending on the amount of customization involved. Our modified standards allow you to order a car wash with shorter lead times for quotes, shop drawings, and manufacturing than completely custom units.  This will give you the opportunity to create a cost effective car wash with a custom touch. 

We define a "modified standard" structure as one which starts as a standard size and requires minimal modifications. Our modified standards are divided into three options. (Please view the drawings and descriptions below. The green shaded area denotes the modifications.) Please make sure to note the modification options and requirements when requesting a quote. This will help our estimators prepare a more accurate quote for you.

Car Wash Option 1 allows you to alter up to two bay widths by either lengthening or shortening one or two of the end bays.
Car Wash Option 2 allows you to raise or lower the height of the sunroom. This cannot change the roof pitch, only the height of the walls.
Car Wash Option 3 is a combination of Options 1 and 2.

We recommend choosing a custom glass car washes if the deviations from the standard are more than the options allowed in the modified standard section. Please be aware that any deviation from our standards or modified standards typically results in 30-50% or more in increased costs and lead times.

• Determine the location of the car wash enclosure.
• Determine the desired equipment needed to be installed in the structure to make it a functional car wash and inform Solar Innovations™ of any loading requirements or adjoining structures.
• Complete our Quote Request Form. Choose either standard or modified on the form and note the modifications. Be sure to include as much information as possible; all additional details you provide help us supply you with a more accurate glass car wash quote.
• Submit your quote request online or print out the form and fax or mail it to us. One of our estimators will contact you within 1-2 business days after we have received the car wash request and reviewed it.
