By selecting a standard canopy or walkway, Solar Innovations™ is able to quickly provide you with an accurate canopy and walkway quote, reduced lead time for shop drawings, and establish a shorter delivery time. Standard canopies and walkways by Solar Innovations™ include:

• One of Solar Innovations™ seven standard colors.
• Thermally broken aluminum canopy or walkway system.
• 1" insulated glass (1/8" clear tempered over 1/8" clear tempered with a stainless steel spacer for enclosed canopies and walkways).
• Laminated monolithic glass for open air designs.
• Stainless steel fasteners provide durability and resist corrosion.

In addition to our standard designs, Solar Innovations™ offers modified standard canopies and walkways. This will typically increase the cost of standard canopies or walkways by approximately 15-30% or more depending on the amount of customization involved. Ordering a modified standard canopy or walkway will give you the opportunity to create a cost effective canopy or walkway with a custom touch. 

We define a "modified standard" canopy or walkway as one which starts as a standard size and requires minimal modifications. Our modified standard canopies and walkways are divided into three options. (Please view the canopy and walkway drawings and descriptions below. The green shaded area denotes the modifications.) Please make sure to note the modification option and requirements when requesting a canopy or walkway quote. This will help our estimators prepare a more accurate canopy or walkway quote for you

Option 1 allows you to alter up to two bay widths by either lengthening or shortening one or two of the end bays.
Option 2 allows you to raise or lower the height of the canopy or walkway. This cannot change the roof pitch, only the height of the walls.
Option 3 is a combination of Options 1 and 2.

We recommend choosing custom canopies or walkways if the deviations from the standard are more than the options allowed in the modified standard section. Please be aware that any deviation from our canopy or walkway standards or modified standards typically results in 30-50% or more in increased costs and longer lead times.

Follow these important steps to find the perfect walkway or canopy to suit your needs.

• Review the Canopies & Walkways Standard Configuration Guide.
• Select one of Solar Innovations™ standard canopies or walkways.
• Determine the desired use of the canopy or walkway. Should it be completely enclosed or partially open?
• Determine the location of the walkway or canopy.
• Complete our Canopies and Walkways Quote Request Form. Choose either standard or modified on the form and note the modifications. Be sure to include as much information as possible; all additional details you provide help us supply you with a more accurate canopy or walkway quote.
• Submit your canopies and walkways quote request online or print out the form and fax or mail it to us. One of our estimators will contact you within 1-2 business days after we have received the canopy or walkway request and reviewed it.
