International Window Systems
Combine Solar Innovations, Inc.'s Windows and Doors into a Single Systems
SI7500: International Window System
The International Window System is the next generation of Solar Innovations, Inc.’s already existing Mulled Window System. This system has the ability to integrate numerous types of windows and hardware both American and European. into one unit. Tilt turns, casements, awnings, fixed, and hopper windows are all able to be integrated into the same unit, without requiring additional framing; offered exclusively by Solar Innovations, Inc . All windows are contained in a single frame and feature consistent site lines. The International Window System can also be mulled with terrace doors to accommodate an entire door and window schedule.
The International Window System’s framing is constructed of aluminum which will not rust, warp, or rot. Insulbar technology is used within the framework for improved thermal performances. The Internation System is intended for residential applications. Unlike commercial systems, this series has a lighter frame with smaller site lines, which are designed with residential homes in mind. Oversized units are possible with fixed windows up to 4’0” x 8’0”. Operable windows will be available in their typical size range. Stainless steel is hardware is suitable for coastal applications and will ensure the product will not rust.
Seven standard finishes are available for the International Window System, including anodized. Custom colors are available for an additional charge. Copper and stainless steel claddings, along with wood veneers can also be added to the window systems. Glazing options are virtually limitless; the framing will accept any available industry glass. Solar Innovations, Inc.’s recommends glass that features LoE coatings, as it increases the window’s thermal efficiency.
A LoE tint helps balance a room’s temperature during cool winters and warm summers. Certain tints reduce glare and others contribute to healthy plant growth. All LoE tints feature UV protection ranges that help slow the aging process of window treatments, wall coverings and furnishings. Decorative glazing such as acid etch, sand blasting, and v-groove patterns are all available for use with the International Window System. Solar Innovations, Inc. offers standard fixed charcoal colored screens with all operable windows.
Various accessories can be added to units to create a custom look or to achieve a specific style. Grids can be used with the International Window Systems; common patterns include classic traditional grid, Gothic grid, and radiused grid patterns. Base panels can be incorporated into system designs to create a historic feel, and are often used with oversized windows. In contrast, horizontal mullion can be added to windows to achieve a modern look.
