Greenhouse grow lights provide adequate light for plants when sunlight is at a minimum. This tends to become the most important during months when natural lighting is shortened.
Many plants grown in greenhouse applications need between 16-18 hours of light, depending on the plant type.
Lights are primarily used between September and April . In most cases, grow lights are not necessary during the summer months since the days are longer and the intensity is increased.

Greenhouse Grow Lights |
Greenhouse grow lighting is most beneficial during the early development stages of the vegetation, but it can be effectively utilized to help control the entire life cycle assisting in the increase of crop yields and quality.
There are two types of effective greenhouse grow lights, Metal Halide Lamps and High-Pressure Sodium Lamps. Metal Halide lamps emit a white light, simulating daylight. These lamps have a shorter life and are commonly used when no daylight is available. High-Pressure Sodium lamps are the most economical, providing more useful light per unit of electricity and having a longer life span.
Serious horticulturalists rely on greenhouse grow lights to produce the crop with the highest return on investment.
