Integrated Energy Systems

Through integrating solar panels into custom glazed fenestration products, Solar has provided customers with an aesthetically pleasing method for generating “green energy.”

PV integration can be accomplished through multiple methods by using standard solar panels or solar insulated glass units. These panels can be glazed into most glass fenestration products by encapsulating the solar panel or glass unit, creating a waterproof solution. An alternative option would be open edged canopy system. This system would be used to create canopies such as car ports or cabanas that can remain exposed to the elements. Curtain walls and façade systems can also be outfitted with integrated PV panels.

Integrated PV systems can be tied directly into the utility grid, provide charging capacity for a battery system (off grid), or directly power equipment.
