Collar beams, one component of the Solar Innovations™ decorative ring and collar supports, are horizontal beams which link two opposite rafters to provide additional support to large span and free standing conservatories, sunrooms, or greenhouses. These structural supports are intended to hold a roof shape and structural integrity during the test of time. For a more decorative touch, Solar Innovations™ will incorporate a decorative aluminum appliqué to each side of the ring to more closely tie the ring and collar into the structure.
King posts are also often associated with ring and collar structural supports as they are used to adorn the bottom of the hub. King posts, like all Solar Innovations™ decorative elements can be customized to meet each customers needs and incorporate the architectural features of the structure. Often times, king posts utilize items extremely similar to the exterior of the house to carry the aesthetic feel to the interior of the structure.
