Solar Innovations, Inc. offers several evaporative cooler systems for your greenhouse. These coolers are known for their high cooling performance, long lasting dependability, and low maintenance. Evaporative coolers are beneficial not only for personal use, but also for the environment. They are economical, consume minimal electricity consumption, and do not use refrigerants such as CFSs and HCFCs.
An evaporative cooler’s purpose is to cool the air. Inside the cooler there are wet pads that are similar to a sponge. A fan circulates hot air through these pads, which cool the air as it exits the unit. As the water evaporates from the wet pads, the heat is removed and is replaced with cool air. This air is on average thirty degrees cooler as it re-enters the greenhouse.
Evaporative coolers are sized to fit your specific greenhouse. Side draft models are used so that they do not occupy valuable space within the greenhouse. Unlike a traditional air conditioning unit, which may be loud, evaporative coolers are relatively quiet. Air flow provided by eavaporative collers is steady and kicks on when the censors determine the temperature is in need of adjustment. The air enters the greenhouse at an even flow; plants are not damaged by the speed or temperature of the air.
Using appropriate shading in conjunction with evaporative coolers, typically reduces the need to water plants. Please call one of our sales representatives to discuss your greenhouse cooling options.
