Office Positions

Engineering Technician / Drafter

We are a growing company seeking individuals to join our expanding Drafting & Design Team. Engineering Technicians have a unique opportunity to create custom 2D and 3D architectural drawings for many different customers on a daily basis. Team members will have the potential to specialize in structures, windows/doors, or a mixture of both product lines.

Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, proficient skills in AutoCAD, and basic Microsoft product computer skills, including Outlook and Office Suite. Self motivated, eager to succeed, and determined candidates will be best suited for this position.


Summary of Position/Area of Focus

  • Develop accurate and detailed submittal drawings and fabrication packages that will be utilized for layout and fabrication.
  • Review engineering specifications to ensure that project information is drafted accurately and in a timely manner in accordance to engineering requirements.
  • Identify, locate and update all appropriate product information related to the standard configurations and/or company standards for production.
  • Develop the ability to perform simple layouts, details, fastener lists, and cutlists for fabrication, using personal discretion to update and make suggestions for possible design and product improvements.
  • Work with architects, builders, and end users to discuss design concepts and convert ideas into final drawings.


Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Candidate must be organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • 2 or 4 year degree required.
  • Intermediate experience with AutoCAD (2D and/or 3D) and Excel is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.
  • Attention to detail and experience with tight deadlines are crucial to success in the position.
  • Must be capable of taking direction and constructive criticism, and help to guide the team as a whole.
  • Must be flexible and willing to serve the changing needs of customers and the Company as a whole ,while acting as a team player.
  • Experience in the construction industry a plus.
  • Experience with Solidworks, Mastercam, and/or ProE will create additional opportunities.


Sales Designer or Design Technician


Summary of Position – Estimator/Design Technician

  • Generate proposals, estimates, and quotations including CAD isometrics in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Assist customers with the design process, offering options for value and function.
  • Aid the sales team by creating a client support network internally and externally that meets and exceeds the Company’s sales objectives
  • Review, determine eligibility, complete take offs, communicate with bidders lists and provide bids for Spec Projects from construction lead website projects.
  • Interact with architects, contractors, glaziers, and homeowners on unique projects varying in scope and size.
  • Interact with in-house Engineers, Drafters, and Project Managers to collect all necessary information for a project, and to provide feedback to a customer in a timely manner
  • Serve as product expert for potential clients with a positive, professional manner.


Summary of Position – Sales Designer

  • Develop a loyal customer base by contacting new leads, following-up on quotes and literature requests, and discussing projects with new and existing customers.
  • Serve as a product expert for potential clients with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Provide technical advice as needed to facilitate the design process between potential customers and the SI team.
  • Liaison with multiple departments to ensure potential clients receive appropriate product information either generally or specific to their project in a timely manner.
  • Interact with architects, glaziers, and homeowners to ensure that all information received is accurate and complete to facilitate proper quoting by the Estimating Department.
  • Ensure proper tracking of customer information in corporate ERP (Environmental Resource Planning) system including contact information, record of communication, requested literature, etc.
Additional Skills for Both Positions
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word required
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in related field is preferred
  • Applicable backgrounds include but are not limited to: Drafting, Architectural Design, Interior Design, Construction Disciplines, General Sales, Communications, Business, and Related Disciplines
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Blueprint and Specification Reading helpful
  • Experience in glazing industry and/or possessing an architectural background helpful



We are a growing company seeking individuals to join our expanding Marketing Team with an Audiovisual focused individual (either intern or full time employee with correct skill set blend). 98% of the Company’s marketing functions are handled in-house (web, collateral development, copywriting, editing, tradeshow preparation, etc.). Job responsibility focus will be based on a blend of the candidates background and department needs.

A specific focus will be on the successful design, development, staging and obtaining footage, editing footage, and producing a final product for a 10-minute corporate video.  This role will also assist in the development of several “commercial” style video clips for use in internet marketing, as well as tradeshows regarding products and Solar as a company. Depending upon skill set, there may be a blend of additional activities serving department needs.

Ideal candidates will possess superior communication skills (both oral and written). Proficient skills in WordPress, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Windows Movie Maker, as well as basic computer skills with Outlook and Office Suite preferred. Self motivated, eager to succeed, and determined candidate will be best suited for this position.


Technical Writing/Market Research

  • Ability to review products and communicate product benefits to customers ranging from the average home owner to architect.
  • Capable of efficiently mining the web and competitors’ literature for review.
  • Review the market/competitors to identify trends in place and those for future product and marketing collateral development.
  • Competently track research for reporting and useful future mining.
  • Correct use of grammar, style, and data to develop newsletter articles, blogs, and press releases.


Videographer/AV Specialist

  • Deep understanding of SEO strategies and implementation.
  • Firm understanding and familiarity with videography including shooting an editing footage for a cohesive final format.
  • Capable of development of new materials from ground up.
  • Understanding of company branding to ensure the sites keep up with our brand.
  • Implement and direct good practices to ensure a positive viewing experience.
  • Work on a team for decision making, ultimately serving the needs of our internal and external customers.
  • Exposure to social media for business use (B2B and B2C) including Twitter and Facebook.


Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field preferred.
  • Applicants proficient in Adobe CS4 or CS5 including Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Windows Movie Maker, as well as the Microsoft Suite preferred.
  • Attention to detail and experience with tight deadlines are crucial to the position.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical writing and editing is critical.
  • Must be capable of taking direction and constructive criticism, and help to guide the team as a whole.
  • Must be able to think outside the box for creative problem solving.
  • Experience in the construction industry a plus.


Successful candidate will assist with the daily performance of A/P, A/R, fixed assets and administrative functions as needed across the department. Assist with month-end processing, reconciliations and general ledger functions as needed.  The successful candidate will learn the Epicor ERP system.  This is a dynamic department with the opportunity for advancement based on the candidate’s strengths and team’s needs.
