Solar Innovations, Inc. designed, manufactured, and shipped a straight eave, double pitch skylight with conservatory nose and attached curtain wall, the largest project Solar Innovations, Inc. has shipped to the Middle East to date. The skylight project is currently being installed.
The skylight measures over 35′ wide, and 61′ long, with a 35′ tall curtain wall. The project is constructed with a 2½” aluminum framing system, featuring a custom brown fluoropolymer finish, and over 4,800 sq. ft. of glazing; LoE 240 insulated glazing for the roof, and LoE 366 insulated glazing for the curtain wall. The project also included a six-panel folding glass wall, two out-swing terrace doors, and two sets of out-swing French doors. Through its extensive dealer network, Solar Innovations, Inc. was able to aid in the design and selection of accessories, including two double ball and spire finials, six faux aluminum pilasters, and decorative molding. In-house engineers used STAAD modeling to meet structure performance requirements. Solar Innovations, Inc.’s in-house engineers and designers are available to assist customers with the structural, thermal, or aesthetic concepts of any project.
Solar Innovations, Inc. has shipped glazed structures, skylights, doors, and windows internationally for over a decade, including multiple projects to Canada, impact folding glass walls to Turks and Caicos, a G2 multi-panel retractable roof system to the Virgin Islands, folding glass walls and structures to Russia, and fishing reels to New Zealand.
